Spring Band Concert 2011

Autumn's Spring Band concert. See her walking in the back. About the only time you get to see her is when she walks in. Did I tell you I broke my brand new video camera Saturday! GRRR!!! Sorry no sound.

Some of the 6th graders (Autumn included) were asked to preform 1 song with the 5th graders.
The 5th, 6th, and 7th grade bands together.
Autumn and all her siblings. Lee was very interested in the chocolate cupcake Molly just stuffed in her mouth!!!

Tummy Time

Quinn finally will lay on her tummy without screaming!
Not that I really want her to take off crawling but I know she needs the practice.

Rock Project

So I am pretty sure Autumn's Science teacher was being creative to come up with this. Autumn had to bring in a rock. Than research the rock, what it was made of, where it was from, normal so far right?
Than she had to build it a house based on where it came from? And write a story on how she meet her rock?
This is Autumn's rock Rose's place. She has a New York city loft in a volcano! She is an ingenious rock of course. I think Autumn did pretty good! Thank goodness we have a pretty big recycling bin and fabric stash!

Mom's new toy!

Happy Mother's Day to me! I got a new video camera, this is my 1st attempt at using it, sorry. Thank you to Peter and the girls. Now we can all see and look back at the girls events. Between Band concerts, learn to ride a 2 wheeler, and learning to sit/crawl I'm glad they got the big memory card!

Ga Ga made a piñata for the kids. We went youngest to oldest to see who all would get a swing.
The piñata made it through Autumn, sort of, the stick didn't.

Easter (for us)

Since we all had to drive home on Easter we asked the Bunny to visit a day early.
I have never gone to the barn to pick the eggs and colored them.

Seder

Autumn's Social Studies teacher wanted the kids to find Historic covered bridges, look whats around the cover from Great Grandma and Grandpa Tofel's house.
